Airheads

Created in the 1980's by Perfetti Van Melle, Airheads have become a world-famous American candy loved by all! Originally from Kentucky, the colourful sweet brand is now known and enjoyed all over the world. Tangy and taffy-like, Airheads are made similar to the way Play-Doh is. As a result, the candy is shaped and squished. Then, it is moulded into the bars, bites, and gummies that we all know and love today! They come in a large variety of flavours. To start with, you've got the classics such as strawberry, orange, and grape. However, they also do some more special flavours, like birthday cake, cotton candy, and fruit punch. They even have a couple of mystery flavours if you're in the mood for a surprise! We sell lots of Airheads products here at American Food Mart. Have a look and see which is your favourite!

Dubble Bubble

Invented by Walter Diemer, an accountant at Philadelphia's Fleer Chewing Gum Company, Dubble Bubble is a pink-coloured bubble gum. Diemer had a hobby of creating chewing gum recipes by blending Fleer ingredients. Dubble Bubble gums are available in a traditional eight-flavour mix of assorted fruit flavours. These fruit flavours include strawberry, pineapple, blueberry, lemon-lime, orange, cherry, banana, and grape. Whether you want to get a few cotton-candy flavoured bubble gum balls, or you want a whole tub of them, at American Food Mart we have the product you need.

Kool-Aid

Kool-Aid was invented by Edwin Perkins in his mother's kitchen! He actually began with a liquid concentrate called Fruit Smack. However, to reduce shipping costs he found a way to remove the liquid. By doing this, he left a powder behind that was much lighter. He named this powder Kool-Aid. It was an instant hit! Soon, Perkins was able to move his production from Hastings, Nebraska to Chicago in 1931. Then, in 1953 it was sold to General Foods. However, Hastings still celebrates a yearly festival to honour their city's claim to fame. In fact, the drink is actually known as Nebraska's official soft drink! So, grab a tub or two of this delicious, fruity drink! Go on, you know you want to!

Sour Patch

Originally known as Mars Men, the Sour Patch Kids were created by Frank Galatolie in the early 1970s for Jaret International. During the late 1970s, Cadbury and Smeera Blyton Licorice Company of Sweden formed the Allen Candy Company in Hamilton, Ontario, to produce them. During the 1985 redesign, they became Sour Patch Kids, which is now owned by Santi. This name change may have been motivated by Cabbage Patch Kids' popularity. They are sweet and sour, just as advertised. There are most candies that only challenge one aspect of the tongue; however, Sour Patch Kids challenge two of those aspects, primarily sweet and sour. In science terms, this makes Sour Patch Kids more advanced than any other candy.

Wonka

Wonka, or Willy Wonka Candy Company, is a confectionery company owned by Nestlé that was once owned by Sunmark before 1988. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired the company, and it was launched in 1971 during the release of the first film adaptation. Additionally, these are also the origin of both the Wonka packaging and marketing style. WONKA® is the manufacturer of NERDS®, NERDS® Rope, SWEETARTS®, SHOCKERS, SPREE®, LAFFY TAFFY®, RUNTS®, EVERLASTING GOBSTOPPER®, LIK-M-AID® FUN DIP, PIXY STIX®, BOTTLE CAPS®, KAZOOZLESTM and GUMMIES. You can buy a wide assortment of Wonka products at American Food Mart if you want a taste of the classic movies and movie-inspired candies.
